A 36-month housing stability program for women. The opportunity provides one furnished room for rent, a stocked kitchen, and a closet full of clothing women can access free of charge. Residents have access to the Esther Project’s Empowerment Services, a suite of services that address various social determinants of health.

No children residing with them
No pets
Working full-time
No current alcohol or drug addiction
Able to live independently without 24-hour supervision or assistance
Able to pay the established monthly room rental amount
Willing to live cooperatively in a shared-home environment
Able and willing to maintain a clean and sanitary bedroom and shared living space
Willing to follow all Esther Project house rules and resident expectations
Willing to participate in regular meetings, goal setting, and a plan toward permanent independent housing

Our transitional housing is intended for women who may be coming from a shelter, temporary housing, couch surfing, or another unstable housing situation but are now working and ready for the next step toward independence.
The Esther Project provides the bridge between homelessness or housing instability and permanent housing.

The Esther Project is not an emergency shelter, treatment facility, group home, or 24-hour supervised residence.
Women referred to the program should be capable of independent living and should not require
residential medical, behavioral-health, substance-use, or personal-care supervision.
Referral does not guarantee acceptance or placement. Each prospective resident will complete an intake and screening process to determine whether The Esther Project Transitional Housing Program is an appropriate fit.
